Use OSCommerce. It’s the biggest and best, plenty of community support.

I am learning PHP and MySQL right now… There is a book called “PHP and MySQL for Dummies” and it is very good.

After you install it for your OS (Linux, Windows)
There is an online tutorial for everything.
The best companion book: PHP with MySQL from O’Reilly
Best IDE for projects is Komodo, and you can get the beta for free. It has a wealth of examples and lessons as well.
Don’t jump into any other specific development environments or tools until you grasp the language, learn about the MySQL interface and practice with your personal web services.
