PHP is a dying language. I wouldn’t invest a moments time. The company that owns PHP is talking to SUN about acquisition, so I imagine as soon as it is acquired SUN will kill it.
If you are going to spend time learing to program professionally you really should consider ASP.NET, or other object oriented programming models. It is the future, and PHP’s object oriented approach has not achieved lift off.
