IT? neither, those both have to do with web programming. But out of those, i’d choose PHP/MYsql

I agree with Chris, start out learning Html then Php along with MySQL, you should ba able to create just about any website with Php & MySQL on your side…

PHP/MySQL would probably be your better choice, it depends which field you want to get into. Since PHP is mostly a server side language, knowledge of HTML/XHTML is needed, though it is a lot easier than PHP and SQL.

PHP/MySQL is solely a web programming duo - if that is your intended area of concentration, it’s probably fine (however, as others mention, you’ll need a solid understanding of HTML and probably Javascript as well). SQL Server is a desktop database application that can work as a server-side database manager but also has stand-alone and network capabilities beyond web apps as well. If you are going the networking route or something for use in a home business, this is probably more appropriate.
